Delete your data

From your account

1. Sign in, with your password, Google or Facebook. Sign in
2. Open the Account page and choose “Delete my account”. Open my account
3. Confirm with your password. An account with no password (Google or Facebook only) confirms by typing its email address again, within 15 minutes of signing in.
4. Done: one last email confirms it.

What is erased

At once and for good: the account, the password hash, the Google and Facebook links, the sessions (every device is signed out), pending links, subscriptions and every project, including those you had already deleted.

By email

Write to privacy@thebench.thestouch.com from your account's address, asking for deletion. We do it within one month, in practice much sooner, and confirm by email. This is also the way if you can no longer sign in.

The “opening soon” list

If you only asked to be told, without creating an account, write to privacy@thebench.thestouch.com from that address and we remove it from the list. It is deleted anyway when subscriptions open.

Google and Facebook

Removing The Bench from the apps allowed in your Google or Facebook account stops you signing in that way, but does not erase your data here: for that, follow one of the ways above.

What may remain for a while

• Database backups are replaced after 30 days: your data is gone from them at most 30 days after deletion.
• The email provider keeps a record of the messages it delivered, including the one confirming deletion, for as long as it sets.
• What your browser keeps (the theme, the trial's plan) stays on your device: clear the site's data in your browser.
